On 30 August 2024, the EICCA Summer Camp reached its final day. According to the agenda, there was a presentation by the teams on the analysis of the EU accession policy and real case study of certain countries that the students had been working on during the camp days.
The first team gave a presentation on Turkey, analysing the economic, political, social and cultural barriers that have been standing in the way of joining the EU for several years. The students also analysed the benefits and investments received from the EU while Turkey was a candidate country.
The next team researched the case of Croatia and its path to joining the EU, the Schengen Zone and the Euro Zone. The students analysed the obstacles and challenges that Croatia overcame on its way to the EU. In addition, the team brought a lot of economic data and indicators of Croatia after joining the EU.
The commission members, consisting of EICCA experts Daler Mirpochoev, Saidqosim Mukhtorov and Firuz Okhunov, asked the teams some questions and discussed some moments of their work. Overall, the performance of both teams was rated as excellent and EICCA coordinator Saidqosim Mukhtorov expressed his impression of the quality of the team’s work so far.
