Jean Monnet Center Of Excellence South And East European Competition Law


The Institute of Economy and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce is a part of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence. In fact, IET TSUC is the first Higher Education Institution from Tajikistan participating in the Jean Monnet Actions. This is in line with Institutional Internationalization Strategy for 2020-2026, which makes a special focus on internationalization of curriculum. The IET TSUC is represented in the Center of Excellence by the Head of the International Center and Global Engagement Saidqosim Mukhtorov.

The purpose of the project is to establish south and east European center of excellence for the EU Competition and State aid law and thus to create a missing links between academic institutions from east Europe and beyond. This center would be a regional center and focal point for academic research, teaching, debate and reflection in the field of EU Competition and State Aid Law. It will bring together prominent Competition law academics and experts from totally eight (8) countries, two EU Member state countries (Croatia and Italy), three EU candidate countries (Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania) and three EU partner countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova and Tajikistan).

European Integration Case for Central Asia


EICCA will introduce a completely new knowledge about European integration, its experiences and best practices to students of International Economics, International Finance, International Law and Political Studies in the universities of Tajikistan. The main goal is to develop a set of competencies and knowledge about effective functioning of economic-social-political union through a newly designed module on European Integration, which will be taught at the Institute of Economy and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce in Khujand and disseminated in other universities of Tajikistan.
