On December 16, 2024, the #Erasmus+ National Information Day took place in Dushanbe, organized by the #Erasmus+ National Office in Tajikistan. The event brought together over 100 participants, including representatives of higher education institutions, students, faculty, and government officials. The goal of the event was to introduce participants to the opportunities of the #Erasmus+ program, its impact on education and the labor market in Tajikistan, and to discuss future cooperation prospects between Tajikistan and the European Union. The Institute of Economy and Trade of TSUC was represented by the Rector Jalilzoda Abdurashit Abdukamol and the chief specialist of the ICGE Firuz Okhunov.
The event has started with the networking in the educational fair where the most active universities in #Erasmus+ initiatives were invited. We are proud that the Institute of Economy and Trade of TSUC was among them and actually it was the only university representing the Sughd region. The fair was attended by the first vice-minister of education and science of Tajikistan Professor Jurazoda Jamshed Khabibullo and the Ambassador of the #EU in Tajikistan Mr. Raimundas Karoblis.
The ceremony for awarding certificates to active participants in the Erasmus+ program was an important part of the event’s opening. Universities and institutions that demonstrated exceptional activity in the #Erasmus+ framework were presented with certificates in recognition of their contributions to the development of international education and cooperation. The thing that makes us proud is that Institute of Economy and Trade of TSUC was among the 4 awarded universities out of 43 HEI in Tajikistan.
